2018 is it 1984 by Orwell: "“FREEDOM IS SLAVERY,” “TWO AND TWO MAKE FIVE,” and “GOD IS POWER.”.

 SECTIONS OF GEORGE ORWELL'S 1984:
   The relevance of Orwell's 1984 that pertains to modern day society. Is the fact that technology has change the way by which individuals citizens become collective. They are in a state of fear as technology has made the sovereignty more powerful through telescreen surveillance. Liberty is a thought of the past, by which no one is to remember. Yet Winston can't forget the past. As he determines if he will follow the BROTHERHOOD, or will he be attentive to the Party (sovereignty of OCEANIA). Failure to comply to the Party results in torture and death. O'Brien represent the operative of enforcement who are patriots to the sovereignty and will do anything to capture those who have free thoughts and believe in the past. The past was when INDIVIDUALISM, and LIBERTY lead to FREEDOM. These days  are long gone! It is 2018 and yet, our liberties are slowly eroding into comformity.


 O’Brien shocks Winston by turning off the telescreen. Believing that he is free of the Party’s observation, Winston boldly declares that he and Julia are enemies of the Party and wish to join the Brotherhood. O’Brien tells them that the Brotherhood is real, that Emmanuel Goldstein exists and is alive, and leads them through a ritual song to initiate them into the order of rebellion. O’Brien gives them wine, and Winston proposes that they drink to the past... Winston continues to seek an overall explanation of the Party’s control over the present and the past... this discourse provides a long lull in the dramatic tension of the novel, setting up the surprising turn of events that the arrival of the Thought Police constitutes...Winston sits in a bright, bare cell in which the lights are always on—he has at last arrived at the place where there is no darkness. Four telescreens monitor him. He has been transferred here from a holding cell... His dreams of the Brotherhood are wrecked when O’Brien, his hoped-for link to the rebellion, enters his cell. Winston cries out, “They’ve got you too!” To which O’Brien replies, “They got me long ago,” and identifies himself as an operative of the Ministry of Love. O’Brien asserts that Winston has known O’Brien was an operative all along, and Winston admits that this is true....O’Brien oversees Winston’s prolonged torture sessions. O’Brien tells Winston that his crime was refusing to accept the Party’s control of history and his memory. As O’Brien increases the pain, Winston agrees to accept that O’Brien is holding up five fingers, though he knows that O’Brien is actually holding up only four—he agrees that anything O’Brien wants him to believe is true....Slowly, Winston begins to accept O’Brien’s version of events. He begins to understand how to practice doublethink, refusing to believe memories he knows are real... After some time, Winston is transferred to a more comfortable room and the torture eases...He comes to the conclusion that he was foolish to oppose the Party alone, and tries to make himself believe in Party slogans. He writes on his slate “FREEDOM IS SLAVERY,” “TWO AND TWO MAKE FIVE,” and “GOD IS POWER.”...O’Brien replies that obeying Big Brother is not sufficient—Winston must learn to love him. O’Brien then instructs the guards to take Winston to Room 101...In Room 101, O’Brien straps Winston to a chair, then clamps Winston’s head so that he cannot move. He tells Winston that Room 101 contains “the worst thing in the world.” He reminds Winston of his worst nightmare...Though his stay at the Ministry of Love has broken his mind and will and though his love for Big Brother precludes the need to think for himself, Winston still envisions the day that the Party will shoot him...

 Winston’s powerful fascination with the enigmatic O’Brien leads him to trust O’Brien and feel safe in his presence, in much the same way that he feels safe in the room above Mr. Charrington’s shop. Winston’s hopeful belief in the Brotherhood, uncharacteristic for a man as fatalistic as he, actually contributes to his sense of impending doom...O’Brien seems to represent a powerful figure willing to undermine the Party. He offers a connection to the Brotherhood, and has an iron will dedicated to fighting the Party. He knows and is interested in the past, as can be seen in his knowledge of the song about St. Clement’s Church. He is the embodiment of everything Winston hoped he would be. As such, O’Brien fills Winston with a hope that he has never before experienced.

Unlike Winston, Julia is not interested in widespread rebellion; she simply likes outwitting the party and enjoying herself. She explains to Winston that the Party prohibits sex in order to channel the sexual frustration of the citizenry into fervent opposition to Party enemies and impassioned worship of Big Brother.

 Like the Two Minutes Hate, the Party’s parading of political enemies through public squares is a demonstration of psychological manipulation... the Party’s use of such displays illustrates how war serves to preserve cultural uniformity. War unites the citizens in opposition against some shadowy foreign evil while also making it impossible for its subjects to meet or exchange ideas with citizens from other countries, since the only foreigners in London are prisoners of war....Her understanding of sexual repression as a mechanism to incite “war fever” and “leader worship” renders her sexual activity a political act.

Thus far the data referenced in written work `1600`, provides ample proof that at one point in our American history, equality did existed. Although the means by which it existed were economical ( charter companies). The princiiples of its belief and pursuit were an actuality. ( ex: Anthony Johnson). so when did this idealic society go wrong. The history of our formation like all histories is full of hypocracise. Outside the acceptance of a divine God. By which accordance is estasblished ( recall during 1620 white colonist did not refer to themselves as such. They were simply christians.) the conflicts of human interaction are a nature of their own creation and as prove through out history: a tragic confrontation of subjective matters. I THINK OF thomas Hobbes and the natural rights of all living persons. If their subjective matters can not be placed aside for accordance: only war is possible. Each having a universal right to defend their existences.    Since this is a raw research draft I will only point out the events that I want to bring attention to concerning the end of the social equality existing in the functioning indentured servant contracts and the birth of a false dream witness to the world and its total contridiction. up til this point in history the odeal of slavation based on ideology, disposition or will was unknown to the world. And mostly enters displaced individuals with the gumption to rise above themselfs and social existence. 1550 thur 1690 represented a pre-coherent notion of what Liberty is meant to be. We all are seeking salvation of one type or another. as the states each legalized slavery and distanced themselves from the reality of indenturement, the core of Liberty was stained. Much blood would spill as time moves on.    For unknown reasons at this time the Royal African Charter was dissolved in 1752. The tug a war of goverance control , loyalist, liberators and charter contracts provided an explosive environment for the colonist. At this time although free Africans existed, the majority of the African american race was enslaved. this is important to realize for as some of the colonist began to rebell against the restraints of England, a confusing ordeal began to rise in some minds. As events such as 1765 Stamp Act flourished and enraged many colonist. A concrete meaning of Liberty filled newspapers and town meetings in the colonies. The formation of the Sons of Libertyy in 1776 and their march on Boston against british surpression must have raised the hopes of many prior indentured servants, forced into slavery by law and their children born into slavery by law. before their eyes rallied heroic sentiments of freedom from oprression. If the oppressor refused to free that which has an individual right to exist: then rebellion was the only solution. ironically for questionable reason known england abolisted slavery and bondage. Sending a powerful message to the enslaved of the colonies. 1773 and the tea party provided cause for rebellion. However at this very moment the majority of the colonist were loyalist by nature. Only resenting the use of raised tariffs for soveneighty wealth while neglecting the needs of the colonist. the finale blow came in 1775 with the boston massacre. i only want to focus on events that affected the lives of afriacn slaves as they were placed in the middle of a contridicting duel over societal freedom from an oppressor. For example in virgina during the fall of 1775 royal governor lord dunmore proclimated the enlistment of slaves and all others to his majesty troops. Thus offering those enslaved by planters the opportunities.    Lord Dunmore offered the opportunity for those enslved within the colony of virgina the option to join royal troops and defend her royal majesty crown. Slavery had already been abolsied in england. Freedom was a true reality of which the rebell forces were now depriving. Who was the true oppressor her royal governace or the planters. it breaks my heart to know that during this same period the second contrntial congress choose George Washington to lead the rebell troops and he proteased black/africian slaved soldiers. the summer of 1775 provided a small victory for the rebells by which the HERO of the battle was a black prior slave named Peter Salem who slayed Major Pitcairn. During the BUNKER HILL battle. SALEMs hero efforts where over shadowed with intense battles of Concord and Lexington. the war seemed to favor british forces until 1776 when the rebell forces outwitted and defeated the british at DORCHESTER HEIGHT removing british forces from pivital Boston. This was proof that... The dorchester height victory gave the rebells confidence that their endeavors were worthy and with the leadership of Washington victory would be won. Congress appealled to Spaina d France for assistance as the declaration committee formulated the statement that would let the world know of a nation of people and their pursuit for just Liberty from the oppressing british goverance. adam, jefferson, livingston, sherman and franklin not only provide the colonsit with their cause (word choice) but presented to the world the evolved desire of all individuals and the natural rights prescribed to them. SAD BUT BEAUTIFULLY WRITTEN the declaration of indepence would expressions of all people. `we hold these truths to be self evident that ALL men are created equal...` Humanity had finally solidified its passion. and I cant beleive that Washington still refuse to enlsit african slaved colonist who wanted to support this cause. Their ancestor had contracted themselves to profit driven charters.   Their ancestors had contacted temselves out to profit driven charters with little respect for human work conditions. It was their ancestors also who labored to the success of Jamestown. 171 years laid between taking james granting of the virginia company of london and the declaration of independence. The independence sort by their ancestor black and white were the same as thode now being declared before the world. It would be an honor to defend their ancestoral efforts. And yet they were excluded in rank from evolution that would change the world which had begun with their ancestors who merely sort to obtain LIBERTY. Yes it was a terrible event in South Carolina-Mr. R' rage racism seems to counter acted his intentions (if those intentions of pure racial HATE, are true.)
